This innovative product with the SafeSense technology is peculiarly good for frequent shredding needs and is capable of delivering high performance in small office and home office areas. The paper gets reduces to confetti particles of high security and the particles have a size of 5/32x1-1/2 inch. Capable of shredding 17 sheets in a single pass, the machine can be fully operative for 50-100 times a day. It has a 9 inch wide front feed which means that it can gulp up a standard legal sized document. Even CDs can be shredded in designated slots. Loaded with durable steel clutters, it can accept small paper clips, credit cards and staples. It is loaded with auto start-stop functionality and the system stops completely and continues to give signals in case of paper jam. It also stops in case the waste bin is full. It has a 10 gallons fully enclosed waste basket and there is built in casters for ease of portability. It comes with a 7 years warranty tag!

Summary: Great shredder!
 
This shredder is a workhorse! I shredded our company's entire fiscal year's worth of stuff without a hitch. The only reason I didn't give it the 5th star is because the shredded paper seems to get stuck up under the shredder itself and I've had to go in and pull paper out. I guess if you only shredded a few pages at a time this wouldn't be an issue. But shredding hundreds of pages at a time, it comes into play. I would absolutely recommend this shredder to anyone!

If used right, will last for years.Takes care of most any shredding job. Very quiet and looks good in a home office. Is an excellent product.

Summary: A Workhorse
 
This shredder is well worth the money. It is fast, powerful, and convenient to use. The only minor drawback is the challenge in changing the bag without having to vacuum out the shredded paper pieces in the slide-out wastebasket compartment. My wife and I just use the dustbuster, since the problem is nearly unavoidable. Even so, we are both very happy with this shredder.

Summary: Best shredder I ever bought!!!
 
While the price of this shredder is more than I have ever paid previously. The performance delivered far surpass's all of the previous shredders that I have owned. Like everyone in this day and time, we get our fair share of junk mail. The other shredders that I used previously I would have to open the letter, then insert the pages then the envelope. Although with this new one, I just put the whole envelope into the shredder and it never even slows up..Another great feature is the basket full sensor, since we are both guilty of not checking the basket on a regular basis. Granted this is not your small shredder that you fit under your desk, we like the basket capacity since we don't have to empty it nearly as often. But you just have to love the sheer power of the unit...Well worth the additional expense.

I purchased this shredder based on reviews at Amazon and couldn't be happier. I had ten years worth of old records to dispose of. This shredder handled it all in about 30 minutes without breaking a sweat. I opted for the more powerful motor of this model, as well as the space saver design. It easily handles the 17 page rated capacity, and the motor never shut down for a cool-off period. The shredder comes with 3 bags and a bottle of oil. I can't imagine running out of oil for many years based on how little is used to oil the cutter, so don't bother buying an extra bottle until you need one. Same for extra bags - I went through three in 30 minutes, but found my standard Glad kitchen trash bags fit perfectly.

The other reviews here on Amazon regarding the little bit of mess when you change the bag are accurate. When you pull the confetti container out to change bags, a little handful of confetti is left in the space which holds the container. Its no big deal at all ... vacuums up in seconds.

This purchase was another incredibly fast, easy Amazon experience. I ordered the shredder on Weds night around 9:00 pm, and selected free shipping. Friday morning at 8:30 am, the shredder was delivered to my porch via FEDEX. That's only 36 hours! Great job Amazon!
