Fellowes Powershred Description
Just like the PS-57Cs, the Fellowes PS-67Cs also comes with a Safe Sense technology and is basically designed for moderate shredding in home based offices. The shredder reduces the papers into high security confetti particles and consumes 8 sheets of paper per pass. The total number of operations can range between 25-50 times leading to a daily high capacity of 400 sheets. The front feed paper entry is 9 inches wide and is capable of accepting standard legal sized documents. The durability of steel cutters helps the shredder to cut through the credit cards, paper clips and staples. The machine is also loaded with auto on and off facility for quick shredding and has a heavy duty quiet motor for extended shredding cycle leading to less down time. It has a 6-gallon waste basket and is covered by a clear window. It also has a recessed collapsible handle that allows removing the shredder head and clearing the basket with ease. Paper jams are avoided using sheet capacity gauge. It also has reverse function to clear paper jams.

The machine shreds well when it works. More often a red light comes on telling you it won't shred. It is sensitive to movement, touch, any contact. The top is heavy often difficult to fit into the container. If the fit is not exact the red light is lit and it doesn't work. Most often the red light is on and I have to battle for a precise fit of the shredder onto the basket. If the basket breaks, chip, cracks the machine won't work. If you like frustration this is the machine to buy. I have had it less than a year and I am about to junk it and buy something that hopefully works well.

Works well. Have had shredder for about 1 month, good power, I shred only 1-2 pages together can shred all my junk mail and disposable paper without any problems. Would reccommend to buy.

After using the above shredder for one month, I have come to like it
very much. It's very quiet compared to my previous one and does a good job. I wish however, that it shredded into smaller pieces.
for a home office, it performs up to my expectations and then some. It
doesn't jam up and cuts smoothly.

Works quite well, but better with only 6 rather than 8 sheets of paper--which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Otherwise smooth functioning, relatively quiet, even with staples. I would definitely recommend.

Summary: Excellent cross cut shredder
 
This shredder is exactly what we were looking for in a home personal shredder. It's fast and effective and fairly powerful. We have managed to jam it a couple of times. If the envelope is fairly thick, open it and feed a few sheets at a time. Duh! We've learned. Clearing the jam is straight forward.

Destruction is total! I defy anyone to reassemble a document after it has gone through this machine. I'm sure it can be done, but someone would have to REALLY want to get that information, (can you say "National Security Issue"?), to have enough patience and persistence to do it.

This thing is built like a tank. I don't expect to need another shredder for the foreseeable future. And with the built in safety features, it is ideal even for families with small children.

Overall, 5 stars.
