We have had this machine for about a month and except for the noise level while shredding it is entirely acceptable. This replaces an old Fellowes shredder gave us many faithful years of service.

I always read all the Amazon reviews on a number of products in different price ranges before I buy. After reading about 100 reviews on this model and a cheaper one, I picked this one. What I gleaned from the reviews was that YOU HAVE TO OIL any shredder regularly or the motor will burn out in a short time. I ran some sheets through before getting the oil in a separate shipment, and let me tell you I could tell the difference immediately when I oiled the shredder. Power picked up imensely. This machine does everyting it says it will and should last a long time AS LONG AS YOU OIL IT REGULARLY!!! I have fed pages through it continuously a few at a time for several hours and it did not slow down or balk or jam. You get little confetti 1/8 X 1 inch long that makes your documents unrecognizable. I am very satisfied and the shredder does everything it is advertised to do.

Have had cheaper shredders that are louder & jam frequently. This is far superior. Auto unlock start shredder action without having to slide the bar over.

Sturdy, dependable shredder. Good quality and heavy duty. No jamming problems. Have been using it for about a month now after having gone through two other cheaper shredders. This Fellowes product is worth the extra money. It's a bit noisy but it keeps on shredding!

The product works as advertised. It makes a lot more noise than the Fellowes shredder it replaced. The noise is not objectionable, it is just quite a bit louder than the old one (different model number).

I trust that it will last as long and run as well as its predecessor!
