Fellowes PS-77Cs is loaded with the patent-pending innovative technology with an active sensor that stops shredding as soon as the paper entry is touched. It is engineered for moderate shredding and best suited for small office and home office needs. It is designed to shred credit cards, small paper clips, staple and CDs (in designated slot). Cheaply priced, this machine in made for high performance and reduces the paper into confetti particles. The front feed in 9 inches wide and has a quiet performance that is best suited for office use. It features electronic auto-start and auto-stop and thereby helps easy shredding. Shredding stops automatically in case of a paper jam. It can take 12 sheets per pass and is capable of operating 25-50 times a day. It has a 7 gallons waste basket and has a clear window to see through! The added advantage is the sheet capacity gauge which prevents jamming due to paper. If a jam occurs, the shredder shuts down and indicates the same to the operator.

Summary: Great shredder
 
I've been using this shredder for at least 6 months and I haven't had any problems with it. I shredded piles of papers and didn't need to give it time to cool off. I learned from other reviews to use oil sheets after each time the basket gets full. If I had to say one negative thing, it would be that I don't use shredder bags so it gets messy emptying the basket (the mouth of the basket is much wider than grocery bags, so shredder bags or garbage bags are more appropriate to use). Otherwise, I don't have anything bad to say about this product. It's very durable and does a great job.

Summary: Nice Shredder
 
I bought this shredder after reading several good reviews about this product. It shreds documents with staples, credit/debit cards, and CD's no problem. The action on this shredder is smooth; I haven't had a problem with paper jamming yet. I have two small children, and planned to keep this machine near the kitchen where we read mail/do bills, so safety was a concern for me. The blades are so far recessed and underneath the touch senssitive safety bar that there doesn't seem to be any way even the smallest fingers could get in there, even if the touch sensitive safety bar shutoff feature failed for some reason. We have a few of the upgraded model of this machine at the office and I have heard no complaints. If you want a machine that will shred your personal stuff and some medium duty work for one or two people, then I don't think you can beat this machine for the money.

Summary: Outstanding shredder!
 
Shipment received almost right away. This shredder replaced my other shredder, which lasted about 4-5 years until the engine burned out. This has much more capacity, is quieter, safer for my two little boys, and can handle tough jobs like credit cards and CDs. It's a great deal for the price, considering I use it mainly for home use. I highly recommend this shredder to anyone looking for a medium capacity shredder. Fellowes makes a great product.

Summary: I love this shredder
 
I love this shredder - it does everything I want it to do, it's quiet, it's cross-cut shred it better than strip cut. A few notes: I don't like that I have to slide the paper in at an angle, but it does prevent accidental intake of ties and the like - you have to WANT to shred something. My jam light is on all the time, although there is no jam, the container is relatively unfilled, and the shredder works fine. Basically, to me, the jam light means nothing. Other than those two small items keeping it from being a five-star rated shredder, it's great - I recommend it to anyone needing a good, medium duty shredder.
