The Aurora AS420C is a professional cross cut paper shredder which is perfect for home use. This machine shreds the vital information that can be used by criminals to pieces so small that it can never be deciphered. The machine can cut through credit cards, staples and paper clips. It comes with a basket of 1.1 gallons capacity (accommodates 40 sheets). It is loaded with features like manual reverse for clearing paper jams, has a duty cycle of 2 mins on and 15 mins off. It requires a power input of 140 watts and gives an output of 38 watts. It also includes overload and overheat protection and includes a convenient design for easy lifting. It also has a letter opener, detachable power cord and is silver in color. It has a dimension of 9.49 x 6.93 x 9.92 inch (LxWxH). The total weight is 5.07 lbs.

Summary: My Little Shredder
 
This is kind of small and I have to fold the paper when I insert it. It also jams a lot. I will not purchase another. I will pay extra and get a regular one.

Summary: practical
 
Since we do not have a great amount of paper to be shredded this size is great for us. As soon as mail arrives we do the shredding. The same goes with the documents that we decide to shred. Key is doing it right then. If you postpone your shredding work and papers pile up then it is tiring that you have to fold each paper twice, because the feeder size is small.

Summary: Excellent, but be aware!
 
Excellent product, but for low, family volume shredding only. Be aware: You can really only do one 8x11 page per run, and that single page must be folded lengthwise to fit through the narrow shredder mouth. If that works for your needs, then this product is first rate. BTW, loading one page per time takes only a second or two.

Summary: Good little shredder
 
Keeping in mind the reasonable price and small size of this shredder, it does a nice job. It's small enough to be unobtrusive and happily munches the receipts and other papers that I need to shred. Downsides? It doesn't want to accept too many sheets at once, and the bin is rather small. But it's an inexpensive item. For the price, you can't beat it.

Horrified when I learned that my niece's junk mail was just ending up in NYC landfill and her identity had been stolen twice, I purchased this shredder for her. She is absolutely delighted!! She says it's small enough for a Manhattan flat, and shreds like a little demon!! Perfect!!!
