Summary: snappy small imprint shredder
 
It seems powerfull for its small size and I like the top handle for emptying it. I do not think it would be strong enough to shred constantly in a high volume work setting, but great for home. Nicely designed. I am very satisfied given its inexpensive price.

Summary: A five so far...
 
So far I've not had any problems with this shredder. I use it at the office and it's great. It's on the loud side but I would rather have a loud shredder than a weak one that will die prematurely. Just don't forget to oil it each time the bin gets full.

Summary: Excellent shredder that tears through everything
 
I've had a couple other, cheaper, shredders before this one. With shredders, you definitely get what you pay for - and this shredder is a deal!

Pros:
- Handles unopened envelopes or ~10 pages at once without sweat
- Can leave it on all the time, then throw stuff in to shred. Auto shuts off.
- Easy cleanup - the shredder lifts off the bin AND has a handle to pick it up
- Kills staples, paperboard, etc., with no challenge
- Excellent price with great performance
- All metal shredding inside - no cheap plastic like others

Cons:
- Pretty loud, but all shredders are

Summary: Oil me and I'll work for you
 
I always read all the Amazon reviews on a number of products in different price ranges before I buy. After reading about 100 reviews on this model and a cheaper one, I picked this one. What I gleaned from the reviews was that YOU HAVE TO OIL any shredder regularly or the motor will burn out in a short time. I ran some sheets through before getting the oil in a separate shipment, and let me tell you I could tell the difference immediately when I oiled the shredder. Power picked up imensely. This machine does everyting it says it will and should last a long time AS LONG AS YOU OIL IT REGULARLY!!! I have fed pages through it continuously a few at a time for several hours and it did not slow down or balk or jam. You get little confetti 1/8 X 1 inch long that makes your documents unrecognizable. I am very satisfied and the shredder does everything it is advertised to do.

Summary: My new favorite 'toy'
 
Yes, I DO have a life--but the Fellowes Powershred W-11C Cross-cut Shredder is terrific!! I have owned it for almost a month and have used it fairly often to shred lots of accumulated papers that are too personal to merely throw away. It shreds plastic as well as paper--but be careful not too feed it more than the stated amount (10 sheets). I especially like the reverse feature and the safety features as well.
