Aurora AS890C Description
This Aurora AS890C is a cross cut shredder and can accommodate 8 sheets of paper at a time. This is a heavy duty shredder that also has an appetite for staples, paper clips and credit cards. The machine has an 8.7 inch throat and featured with a heavy load basket that can accommodate 125 sheets of shredded paper. It also features auto start, overheat/overload protection and manual reverse facility for jam clearance.

This is a decent shredder. I like that it is compact and it has performed reasonably well. It does not always sense the papers right away though it works most of the time. If I had a lot of documents to shred, I would probably need to get a different shredder. This one really sounds like it is struggling (compared to other home-office shredders I have used). However, I purchased this for a reasonable price on Amazon and it has been suitable for personal use - occasional credit cards, documents, receipts and the like.

Not tall enough to stand on floor for use..too tall for desk-top and the basket needs to be bigger. I find I'm constantly tamping down or emptying the shreds.

This product works very well, except for the fact that the basket fills quickly with the paper shreddings. It is also quite loud.

This product does just what it claims. I haven't tried putting paper clips thru it but I have put a couple of credit cards thru it and it made short work of them. I got a special price on it which made it very attractive but it would have been worth the regular price. I like it.
