Summary: Bad to the Bone...
 
Arrived without a scratch from Fedex. Rolls right out of the box. Just snap the document holder on and plug it in. Shreds like a monster. I wanted something that would eat junk mail like credit card offers without choking. Well this one munches them up into little bits without a hiccup. As a bonus, it looks just like a "gonk droid" from Star Wars so we call ours GONK, and when we need to shred something we say "give it to GONK"!! I recommend buying it for any home or small office. Awesome piece of equipment.

Summary: Great piece of equipment
 
I purchased this model for my home office. Once a month I go through all my files....both business and personal and shred everything no longer needed. The SB99 handles it wiithout any issues. I really like the meter that lets you know if you are putting to much paper in there before it begins to shred, great time saver of trying to unjam the paper. I would recommend this product to anyone and Amazon.com had the least expensive price by $50.

Summary: Finally got "THE" shredder!
 
I've had a lot of shredders over the years, but they always seem to burn out after a year or so. They are never nearly as heavy duty as you hope they would be and get jammed constantly.

Even though I've only had this shredder for a month or two, there is NO DOUBT that this shredder will not be like that. It's MUCH BIGGER than the standard ones I've gotten at the big box stores. It has a MUCH BIGGER motor and feels VERY heavy duty. It's so large that the motor isn't even working that hard to shred, so its not even running loud. It's very quiet...more so than any shredder I've used before.

Stop spending $[...] bucks every few years on a new shredder, and get the good one now. It will be cheaper in the end and definitely less hassle.

Summary: MEDIUM POWERED SHREDDER
 
This is the 3rd shredder I have owned. I ungraded from a Staples $150.00 shredder which I owned for about 3 years to this higher price Fellows shredder at Amazon for $221 (office depot $250.00 staples $350.00) hoping for a more powerful and quiter machine.

The Fellows SB-99Ci was quiet but lacked power. I at first was shredding only about 5-8 sheets and after about one month it started to jam on a regular basis. I would clear the machine and tried to use lubricant shredder sheets to speed it up and stop the jamming.

I finally was shredding at max 5 sheets and experienced frequent jamming. I decided to return it to Amazon.

Amazon was very helpful in returning the defective shredder.

Summary: Solid shredder
 
- The intellishred works very well to quickly dispose of reasonable sized stacks of documents. It is very easy to load the documents in, and it is handy that the shredder indicates when it believes you are putting too many pages in and it will jam. I upgraded from an 8 page shredder, and this one goes much faster. In addition, its basket is easily accessed and the larger capacity means much less frequent emptying. Although it is advertised as quiet, I would say it is only somewhat quiet (or quiet on a loud scale). The most disappointing aspect is that it does not appear to easily take the advertised 15 pages at a time, and it is somewhat of a nuisance when it jams.
