Fellowes PS-77Cs is loaded with the patent-pending innovative technology with an active sensor that stops shredding as soon as the paper entry is touched. It is engineered for moderate shredding and best suited for small office and home office needs. It is designed to shred credit cards, small paper clips, staple and CDs (in designated slot). Cheaply priced, this machine in made for high performance and reduces the paper into confetti particles. The front feed in 9 inches wide and has a quiet performance that is best suited for office use. It features electronic auto-start and auto-stop and thereby helps easy shredding. Shredding stops automatically in case of a paper jam. It can take 12 sheets per pass and is capable of operating 25-50 times a day. It has a 7 gallons waste basket and has a clear window to see through! The added advantage is the sheet capacity gauge which prevents jamming due to paper. If a jam occurs, the shredder shuts down and indicates the same to the operator.

Summary: Acceptable shredder...
 
It's a little hard to load, doesn't seem to shred significant amounts at a time and struggles with any kind of thickness. It seems to take awhile to load it manually. It does shred, but I don't think I'd recommend this to anyone.

Summary: Best "new technology" shredder
 
I bought this for myself and have used it since Christmas. It's the best new-style shredder on the market that I've found (after previously returning 2 other brands) and is quiet. The pullout waste can makes it simple, fast, and clean to empty without having to lift the shredder mechanism off the top. It performs as claimed and will truly shred the advertised 12 sheets per pass. The overall best reason to buy this high capacity is to shred mail - you can simply toss the mail, envelope and contents, into the shredder without even opening. Perfect for those unwanted credit card checks, preapproved offers, or junk solicitations that are obvious from appearance. I highly recommend spending a few more dollars on this machine. It's much better than the office supply house-brands that are on the market.

I purchased a couple shredders at a big box store over the last few years and they fell apart. This shredder has perfomed as advertised. Its heavy and strong just like I wanted. Its alot more quiet than the smaller shredders I owned too.

This product was purchased for my office. It was such a workhorse I purchased one for my home. I have used it for over 2 years and never had a problem. I am very impressed with its work.

Summary: Good Workhorse Shredder
 
This shredder is the best one that we have had yet. Our company office of 54 employees all use it. We use it for purging files at the end of the year from outdated files. It does a great job on CDs and credit cards. We push it to the max sometimes an hr at a time doing shredding which is really pushing it. It isn't constantly in use but it does get used hard. We have had it over 3 years now. No one has olied it or done any mantenance to it. We just keep the trash thrown away out of it and don't stuff it. No shredder we have ever had has held up like this one so far. Don't buy the expensive ones unless all you ever do is shred. This one will take a beating and keep on eating. Staples and all have been put through it's teeth. This is an excellent product. We will be buying another one just to have it in another area.
