Summary: Does what it says it can do
 
This shredder can do everything that the description says it can do. Some reviewer said that it has trouble with credit cards....really? As soon as I got it, I shredded some junk mail and then threw 8 credit cards (one at a time) in it. It cut them all up into little rectangular pieces (much better and faster than me with a pair of scissors). This shredder is fast and works great. I have only had it a few weeks, so I'm not sure how well it will perform over time, but it works great now.

Summary: Perfect home-use shredder
 
Was looking for the perfect balance between functionality and price/value. Landed on this model. We received the model and think it's great. Shreds thick envelopes, credit cards without a problem. Has a child lock which we thought was great. Amazon did a wonderful job getting this to us quickly. One feature to note, this item has an auto shut-off feature which triggers if the top unit is not aligned on the waste paper basket. This ensures it won't turn on or stay on if the machine get's knocked over. When setting the top unit on the basket, always make sure the tiny button on the underside of the top unit is making contact with the plastic piece inside the wastepaper basket otherwise you may wonder why the machine's not working. So far this is a really great shredder. I would recommend it to any home.

I have had this machine for about a month so far, it seams to work very good with no problems at all. I dose slow down through junk mail that is not opened. It dose get the job done.

This Fellowes shredder is so much better that the old one we had and gobles up the pages and stapples with no problem. It is much more powerful and we don't think it makes too much noise considering the work it is doing. Simple to use and easy to empty.
