Aurora AS810SD Description
The Aurora AS810SD strip cut paper shredder is the ultimate home device designed to ensure protection against identity theft. The shredder is capable of consuming eight sheets at a time and cut it into strips of 0.25 inch. The shredding speed of the machine is 9.7 feet per minute. It can cut through CDs and credit cards and comes with a basket and a three mode safety switch which keeps the fingers safe. The shredder's throat width is 8.75 inches. The wastebasket has a capacity of 4.5 gallons or in short it can accommodate 100 sheets of shredded papers.

I like this shredder because it's compact and does the job efficiently. I did try 8 sheets of paper at a time and it performed well. I would highly recommend this shredder especially for the price.

Summary: Frequently overheats
 
Not the best paper shredder if you want to eliminate years worth of documents in one day. You frequently have to take breaks to let the machine cool off and start running again. Otherwise very satisfying. Cannot recommend for criminal enterprises due to overheating drawback.

I've had this shredder for about a month and am quite pleased with its performance. Admittedly, I haven't overworked it, my county recycles almost everything so I don't bother shredding unless it contains sensitive information. The only negative I've found is the capacity of the basket that came with it, if you don't keep pushing the shred down or empty the basket it will soon interfere with the paper travel through the cutters. I was aware of this problem before I ordered, several reviews mentioned it; the simple solution is to use a larger basket and this machine is adjustable to make this possible. I've had only one jam and reversing the paper cleared it quickly.

Summary: Great Shredder!
 
The shredder is really good! My old one started aging and I was looking for something more cost friendly yet I didn't want to sacrifice the quality! This shredder is really good! The blade is super sharp and I love the fact that it has three compartments: One for paper, 2nd for CD and 3rd for credit card!
I have to admit that it is quiet noisy but doesn't really last for that long so it is tolerable!

This is one great shredder for the price. It is almost like getting the CD and DVD destroyer for free. This is NOT a cross-cut shredder, so it it really only useful at home. If you can live with that, you will have gotten a terrific bargain. Most people don't really need a cross cut shredder just for shredding bills and such.
