The Fellowes Intellishred PS-79Ci has some innovations that will make you smile. The convenient, reliable and fast shredding is associated with the jam proof system (which is patent pending) and is capable of eliminating the frustrating jams. It prevents overloads and therefore stops jam. It accepts CDs, paper clips, staples and credit cards. There is a time-saving sheet capacity indicator which measures the paper as you shred. It can shred up to 12 sheets at one go and produces cross cut particles measuring 5/32 x 1-1/2-inch. Also features a Safe Sense technology and a six gallon bin which can be pulled out. The caster makes it easily movable and comes with 2-Year Worry-Free Product and Service Warranty and also has a Lifetime Cutter Warranty.

Summary: a shredder built to last
 
I have used many cheap shredders, including a lighter-duty Fellowes shredder whose automatic shut-off stopped working after about a year. This one beats them all hands down. It's tough, reliable, and quiet. The bin empties from the front, without your having to lift off the shredder mechanism. The unit detects potential jams and reverses automatically to prevent them. You can use internal bags to hold the shreddings, or just dump them from the bare bin into a recycling container.

Summary: A Must Have!
 
Around our house, we're constantly shredding any junk mail or paperwork with personal information. After buying shredders at the local "big-box" supermarket, and having them break after 1 yr, we decided to give this one a try.
This shredder is very quite compared to the "cheap" brands. Our baby sleeps in the next room and it never wakes her up! Safety features are great. Only minor thing I've noticed is that the bin seems to be a little flimsy when compared to the rest of the unit, but don't let that steer you away. Only had this shredder for 2 months but so far we're very happy.

Right out of the box, this shredder looks like a quality piece of equipment. The casters are a nice touch. I was immediately impressed with its quietness and power in my first experience as we had quite a bit of shredding to do since our old shredder had been broken for a few weeks. The lighted capacity indicator was useful as it allows the user to quickly develop a feel for the shredder's loading capacity and makes the shredding job go faster. I also had no problem either installing or removing the bag without tearing it. Overall a very nice unit which we hope will provide good service for several years.
