Fellowes Powershred MS-450Cs is an ultra quiet,high security shredder that accepts paper,paper clips,staples,credit cards and CDs.It can handle up to 7 sheets per pass,25-50 times per day, for a total daily capacity as high as 350 sheets.In case the pull-out bin is full,a jam occurs or machine is overheated,shredding stops automatically and the operator is alerted.Machine works in automatic mode with its auto start/stop functionality,and features patented SafeSense technology that stops shredding if your fingers are too close.The wastebasket contains a window where you can see if it is full, and there is a separate 0.78 gallon bin for shredded credit cards and CDs.Shredder is made of durable steel cutters and includes casters for better mobility.

All I can say is WOW!!! Corny? Yes, but with good reason. This is my third paper shredder that I have owned and this thing is amazing. Calling this a Confetti Shredder is no exageration, if anything it's an understatement. I have not seen any other paper shredder shred paper like this one. I don't see any way someone could possibly piece your confidential papers back together after they get eaten by this beast. I saw on one review a complaint about paper dust, which this shredder does create. However the only area I noticed any signs of dust after using it was ontop of the shredder, my house didn't get covered with it. Another nice thing about this shredder is a seperate slot for CD's, Credit Card's, etc. It also comes with lubricating oil and big waste bags. It is a bit pricey but worth the money.

I have had this shredder for just a few days, and I am very happy with it. Even though this unit costs $178, much more than the traditional shredders, it is well worth that expense. The shredder has four wheels, it is very quiet, the paper turns out shredded smaller than confetti, making it impossible to read. It has a safety feature that it will not work if there is something over the opening, like your hand, or a pet, or a child. I do notice that it gets hot after just a few minutes and the manual notes that it is not to be used more than 8 minutes at a time; this is a limitation, but overall, it turned out to be a great buy, and it arrived by FedEx, with no shipping charge, a savings of around $30, since this shreddeer weighs around 35 pounds.

Summary: Unfortunate experience 1st time round
 
Unfortunately ONLY after 2 weeks of purchase this Fellowes shedder MS-450Cs completely stopped working. I was extremly disappointed since this was bought for home use, obviously I received the lemon. However, after reading Amazons return policy of only partial refund on purchases when boxes are opened. I called the manufacturer and they sent a replacement. Hopefully this replacement will last a lot longer than 2 weeks since it is quite expensive I would like to have it long enough to review in about 6 months. I do LIKE the look of the product and what it does to anything that goes through it. I will be returning the lemon-one purchased through Amazon back to the manufacturer.
