Summary: this thing is a work horse
 
This shredder does an excellent job. I've only had the shredder for about a week, so I can't comment on its extended reliability. However, I can confirm that it does a great job with multiple sheets and credit cards. Some reviewers said it had a difficult time with credit cards. I didn't find that to be the case at all. I fed approx 20 credit cards through the shredder without it missing a beat. Also, I had a 20 inch stack of papers that had to be shredded. I fed the sheets, ranging from 1 to approx 8 sheets at a time into the shredder without a single hiccup. It's just my personal preference to not go to the stated maximum sheets (in this case 11) on any shredder so as to not strain the motor and prolong the life of the unit. Plus, the sheets feed through much more quickly, when you don't feed the maximum sheets allowed. I also purchased the shredder lubricant ([...]) in order to properly maintain the shredder and ensure the warranty (3 yr cutter warranty) isn't voided. I did lubricate the shredder a few times during my initial 20 inch stack run. I'm very pleased with this unit. In my opinion, it's the best bang for your buck for a non-commercial grade unit for home use. There are a lot of positive reviews on this unit on Amazon. After using the shredder, it is easy to see why so many people rave about the unit. One last thing, the "easy lift" handle comes in very handy when it's time to empty the receptacle.

Liked features so I bought one,After recieving (fast shipping) I used it for about 3 days when it would no longer start or reverse or anything, returned the item and got another one in about 5 days and it seems to be okay 4 weeks into our life together.She is a noisy beast but if you want your paperwork shredded that it dose no doubt about it.

Summary: Does what it says it can do
 
This shredder can do everything that the description says it can do. Some reviewer said that it has trouble with credit cards....really? As soon as I got it, I shredded some junk mail and then threw 8 credit cards (one at a time) in it. It cut them all up into little rectangular pieces (much better and faster than me with a pair of scissors). This shredder is fast and works great. I have only had it a few weeks, so I'm not sure how well it will perform over time, but it works great now.

Strong shredder.. even shreds staples. Cuts paper into little bits, but not confetti. Expected it to be taller... its just conventional size... approx. 1&1/2 ft tall. Shreds all my junk mail easily. Worth the price that I paid. Overall I would recommend this shredder.

The reviews that say this is noisy weren't kidding. Much louder than my previous Fellowes shredder but also shreds much faster and no jams so far. Very good product for the money if you don't mind the noise.
