Aurora AS810SD Description
The Aurora AS810SD strip cut paper shredder is the ultimate home device designed to ensure protection against identity theft. The shredder is capable of consuming eight sheets at a time and cut it into strips of 0.25 inch. The shredding speed of the machine is 9.7 feet per minute. It can cut through CDs and credit cards and comes with a basket and a three mode safety switch which keeps the fingers safe. The shredder's throat width is 8.75 inches. The wastebasket has a capacity of 4.5 gallons or in short it can accommodate 100 sheets of shredded papers.

Summary: Aurora AS810SD 8-sheet strip cut paper
 
It's ok but should have spent a little more and gotten the cross cut one. This replaced an Aurora that we had about 5 years which was a cross cut and the basket held more. When we purchased that it was the same price as this - should have realized that prices had gone up and to replace what we had would have to pay more.

First I would like to say Amazon is great. Price, quality of product and delivery outstanding.
Shredder works out of the box. Old shredder broke teeth on credit card and was not same quality.
Recommend this shredder for home use. I am not going to try cards or cd's however.

Summary: awesome for the price
 
I didn't want to spend much on something as boring as a paper shredder. I'm comfortable with strip, rather than cross/cut papers, so that's no problem for me. The awesome thing about this shredder is that it is relatively quiet compared to other inexpensive models. I mean, it's certainly not silent, but comparatively it's a delight. I recommend it to anyone who needs a shredder at home, for low use.

Iam glade I bought this one, because it met my needs, fore the price I couldn't turn this product down. It does evrything I want, this shredder does better than the old one I had befor.

This shredder works great - and fast. It's not as quiet as some that I've had, but it works great. It's a great value for the money. I was looking for an inexpensive replacement for a much more expensive shredder that gave-out after a year! This is working out great, so far.
