The Fellowes Intellishred PS-79Ci has some innovations that will make you smile. The convenient, reliable and fast shredding is associated with the jam proof system (which is patent pending) and is capable of eliminating the frustrating jams. It prevents overloads and therefore stops jam. It accepts CDs, paper clips, staples and credit cards. There is a time-saving sheet capacity indicator which measures the paper as you shred. It can shred up to 12 sheets at one go and produces cross cut particles measuring 5/32 x 1-1/2-inch. Also features a Safe Sense technology and a six gallon bin which can be pulled out. The caster makes it easily movable and comes with 2-Year Worry-Free Product and Service Warranty and also has a Lifetime Cutter Warranty.

Summary: Great heavy duty except for bright blue light
 
Everything about this shredder is very solid and does it's job very well. Will last for several years. The only complaint is that bright blue light that comes on. It is really bright but you can turn it off and back on when you need to shred.

Summary: Quiet Shredder!!
 
If you are looking for a good personal shredder for home use, this is a great choice. It's a little pricey, but has many great features. It shreds 12 sheets per pass as well as CD's and credit cards. It has two power switches and a system which detects when hands are too close to the paper entry slot resulting in the shredder shutting off; both of which are great if you have little ones around. It has very quiet operation, a feature I really wanted, as my last shredder would wake the neighbors. It is jam proof, has an ample shred bin and casters for great maneuverability. If your looking for quiet operation, this would be a good choice.

I had been searching for a shredder after my previous one died from overuse. My research indicated that this would be the best buy for my needs so I started doing a price comparison and determined that Amazon offered the best deal at the time. THe package arrived with some damage to the packaging but none with the shredder. Easy set up and extremely quiet. The sensor on the machine determines how many pages are being shredded and will let you know when you have inserted too much. Great product, great price.

Summary: FINALLY, A SHREDDER THAT WORKS!
 
We have gone through several shredders over the years, none of which we ever really liked, and all of which jammed and eventually became un-usable. This Fellowes shredder is the BEST shredder we have owned. It is quiet, shreds without jamming, easy to use, and came with oil and a starter supply of bags. Amazon.Com has THE BEST price anywhere.....at least $40 less than the competition. We ordered ours and had it delivered via FedEx the very next day!!! We highly recommend this shredder for anyone who is looking for a dependable, quiet, and jam-free shredder. You will not be disappointed!

It works quite well, but there are limitations on the thickness of papers it will shred. More than adequate for home use, but I would imagine that it would be very time-consuming to use in a busy office.
